Cake Smash
A cake smash is such a fun way to celebrate your baby’s first year. These are memories you will definitely pull out at their 21st birthday in years to come.
Cake smash photos are normally taken when your baby is between 11–12 months old. If you would like the images for their birthday party, I recommend having the session at least 2–3 weeks beforehand so you can use the images for invitations and party decorations.
Cake smash sessions normally take between 35–45 minutes. We start with some family portraits, then before your baby gets messy, we take a few photos in their little outfit. Then it’s time for bubba to get their hands dirty and we bring out the cake! The best part is capturing all those little expressions as they taste and explore.
Once they are finished, we give them a lovely warm milk bath in my vintage, baby-sized claw-foot bathtub to clean up. This also allows us to capture some more cute expressions as your baby plays in the water.
Once your baby is clean, I suggest bringing some milk and snacks for them while we view your session gallery at your same-day ordering appointm
